About This Project
Full driveway replacement on a 1990s semi-detached in Esker, Lucan. Original concrete driveway removed, new compacted sub-base laid, block paving in Kilsaran Maxima charcoal and buff blend in 45° herringbone with double bull-nosed soldier course edging.
The Challenge
The original concrete surface had significant cracking and two large sunken areas near the garage. Sub-base investigation revealed soft spots from a leaking downpipe that had been directing water underground for years.
Our Solution
Downpipe redirect addressed first. Full concrete break-out. Sub-base excavation to 250mm in the soft area, 150mm elsewhere. Compacted MOT Type 1 throughout. Channel drain installed at base of drive. 45° herringbone in Kilsaran Maxima with contrasting border.
